The credence table in the sanctuary - In memory of Alexander Grimes who died in India July 15, 1921, and his daughter Doris who died in India Jan 11th 1942 and wife Grace who died January 12th 1954.
This is a still from the 1979 film Yanks which was filmed, in part, in this area. This shot shows the rood screen and sanctuary in St Paul's church. The rood screen was relocated when the church interior was changed in the 1990s. Many of the exterior shots used were filmed in Uppermill, and a Yanks Weekend is still held in the area each year in August! The east end of the church showing the rood screen - probably taken some time in the 1980s. St Paul's Church, Huddersfield Road, altar, rood screen and stained glass window - 1984.
