Each year sees a number of weddings at St Paul's. Christian marriage is a celebration of the love which is a gift from God. In fact marriage between two people is a reminder of the love God has for us. And the vows which the bride and groom make to each other - to be faithful and loyal to each other for the rest of their lives - are themselves a reflection of the love and faithfulness of God to us. In the service, we are reminded of the importance of God's love, and the serious nature of the declarations made by those getting married. It's an occasion of great joy, and the beginning of a new chapter in people's lives.

Fundamentally, it involves the blessing of God on the marriage day, and the commitment of the wedding couple to seek that same blessing in the days and years to come.

Broadly speaking, anyone of British Nationality who is normally resident in St Paul's parish is entitled to marry here, although there are a number of possible exceptions.

Anyone who may wish to get married at our church should first of all contact the Vicar - see above for contact details - who will be pleased to arrange to meet and discuss the matter further.
