WHO IS ALPHA FOR? |
| You
may have already seen posters for the
Alpha Course on hoardings around the country, and
our own posters in church. The Alpha course started in an Anglican Church in London over 20 years ago. Now more than 7,000 churches are running Alpha in this country, and many more abroad. Alpha is a 10-week course (one evening a week) covering all the essential elements of the Christian faith. Each evening consists of a meal, a video presentation on a particular theme, and group discussion time. It's a time of learning, but also of fellowship and fun. |
Alpha
can operate in two ways - either as an introduction
for non-churchgoers who are interested in exploring Christianity,
or as a refresher for established church-goers, who maybe feel there
are areas of faith they'd love to clarify or explore further. So many people have found that Alpha has really helped them in their Christian journey, and that they've had a great time on the course and made new friendships along the way. |
